FIRE!

Hello everyone! Just want to give an update on how FIRE is coming along! I have successfully purchased two sit skis and am hoping to get more equipment very soon! I am in the process of talking with the Fernie ski hill and RCR about prices and such, and am hoping to have the program running by February next year!

I am still in need of skiers to be trained to become sit ski instructors, so if you are interested please write me at bethefire@hotmail.ca

FIRE has been featured in many articles such as the Fernie Free Press and the Fernie Fix! We are hoping to spread the word, even as far as Calgary! FIRE would like to thank Tech for the support they have given to the program! Thank you very much!

Hello, hello! It's almost that time! That time when most of you will be heading up to the ski hill! And it's the truth, I know it hurts but, the snow is coming! So it is the time of the year that I will be fundraising again! I am happy to say (as you can tell by the title) I finally decided what to name my society! Yes soon you will be seeing "FIRE" on the back of volunteer jackets as I come racing down the hill! This is going to be an exciting year!

Just a little update on everything, I have (thanks to all of you who donated) one sit ski here and will be ordering a second one when the fluffy stuff starts flying! So that is very exciting news! I am also looking for volunteers to become instructors! So please, if you are a local and you are interested let me know. I need 10 volunteers to get "The Disabled Skiers Association" over here to do training! Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and I'll be seeing you on the hill!
